Opening and Welcome Reception

The first evening of the congress has become a nice tradition where amidst the setting of the industrial exhibition, with snacks and refreshments, you can meet both familiar and new colleagues. Be pleasantly surprised by the outstanding acoustic and visual entertainment highlight of the “Universal Druckluft Orchester”, who will accompany our evening. As a souvenir of the evening, perhaps you can take home, a drawing from Gero Hilliger, the 10-time world record holder in portrait “Quick Draw”!

Official Congress Evening

“The Roaring Twenties” – a lifestyle, which even today has not lost its fascination. With the social evening of EUROSPINE 2016 we would like to take you back in time between “Art Deco” and “New Objectivity”, between “Avant-Garde” and “Expressionism”, and bring to you the charm of this era, full of a new zest for life, the urge for culture and pleasure, emancipation and renewal, even closer.
During the “Roaring Twenties” the nightlife in Berlin, with its glamorous dance palaces, revues, theaters, cinemas and cabarets flourished. The stylish setting for an evening with the charm of the period, between the two World Wars, is the legendary Hotel Adlon Kempinski at the Brandenburg Gate with its spectacular views over the bustling city. Berlin's most famous hotel knows how to preserve its historical past and present itself simultaneously in a modern manner full from innovation. It offers entertainment, music, comedy, show and dance combined, with culinary delights from its original award winning kitchen.
Charlie Chaplin himself, personifying like no other, laughter without words, welcomes you to a champagne reception - a photo for proof all included. During the evening Joseph Sternweiler embodies in a unique way, with his stage performances, the silent film legend. During the first courses of the gala dinner, music will be served from the Berlin band "The Red Chucks". Unplugged they will play their repertoire of songs of the 20s to 50s and render a special gorgeously calm touch, with violin, banjo and bass.
As another highlight of the evening we present a rousingly, funny show "Burlesque & Cabaret", with dance, music and live vocals in the style of the famous vaudeville. And those who wish to take action into their own hands can do so with a poker face at the Casino. Will it be risky operations on one of the many diverse gambling tables? In your hand be it!
We are delighted to present this exceptional evening and cordially invite you to join us!
